bah i did one and it looks poop. i'll try darker make up in a while i used 1600x1200 on the one i've just put up, but i'll use 1024x768 on the next one

thats a good size or you can make it 1024 x 768..whatever you like best. i think your eyes would be awesome though. cant wait to see it, cant wait to paint it! -smiles all giddy and eager n chit.

you could just take a big picture of your eyes thennnnn.
i still think they would be the center of any photo manip..i.ve seen a LOT of people on here who SHOULDNT take big pics of themselves..but they do anyway..lol...and i doubt yours would be anything like that, so hey! its just an idea.
